Typical Timelines & Investment

Modular islands: often 2–3 working days once utilities are set.
Custom masonry kitchens: typically 4–7 working days, plus time for utilities/permits and countertop lead times.

Budgeting: driven by appliance set (grill size, burners, refrigeration), utilities (gas/water/electric), materials (veneer and countertop), and shade/lighting.

FAQ for Outdoor Kitchens

Do I need a vent hood under a pavilion?
Often yes—clearances and venting are dictated by appliance BTUs and manufacturer specs. We’ll size the hood and termination height and coordinate heat shielding where needed.
Natural gas or propane?
Natural gas is convenient if service is available; propane works well with properly ventilated island panels. We size lines for BTU loads and install shutoffs for safety.
Can you use my existing grill?
Usually—if it’s a built-in model with proper clearances. We can also upgrade to a new built-in or convert to a cart that tucks into the island.
What about winterization?
We include shutoffs and drains to blow down water lines in fall. Appliances are outdoor-rated; covers extend life. Gas lines can be capped per manufacturer guidance.
Best countertop for heat and weather?
Granite and porcelain/Dekton handle heat and UV well. Concrete is great with the right sealer. We’ll match your cooking style and maintenance preference.
Do sinks need to tie into the house drain?
Options include tying to code-compliant drainage or using a dry-bar setup with a hose connection and concealed catch; we’ll advise based on local code and your usage.
